Here I would like to share a case history of a 15 months old baby with skin disease and recurrent upper respiratory tract infections. On 26 /01/2019, a lady came to my clinic with a baby who had consulted with Pediatrician and Dermatologist and had prescriptions for URTI & Atopic Dermatitis. According to Ayurveda, this condition is diagnosed as Saama Kapha pitta and Avasta.
Treatment started with Paachana, Rookshana. But starting a diet for pediatric patients is a real challenge as parents are usually very anxious. In this case, over-anxious mother would rush to my clinic to show the new eruptions almost daily!! I had to stop all allopathic medication on the first day of treatment itself.Â
Â
As the child was in Ksheeraada Avasta, I had to advise a strict diet and Paachana Dravyas to mother as well. This change made a lot of difference and all the eruptions started drying. The child had no fever and respiratory complaints after starting our medicines.
Â
Follow-up after 10 Days:
After 10 days, the patient came back with very dry skin (peeling of scales) and itching. In this stage, Abhyantara and Bhaahya Snehana were advised.Â
Â
Today (19/02/2019) the mother of the child sent me the pictures which I have shared below. You can see for yourself that this is a success for the treatment of skin diseases by Ayurveda and following SBEBA guidelines. Here I would like to thank some other SBEBA practitioners who guided me to get the intended results within 25 days !!
Thank you
