There are not many side effects of ginger when people choose to stay in the recommended dosage only. Most of the time, when the patients decide to overdo the daily dosage, there may be a chance of overdosing.

Overdosing of ginger at any form may cause gas or bloat. Taking more than four gms of ginger during acid reflux is not suggestible in 24 hours.

Exceeding the recommended amount may cause added heartburn instead of relief.
