Post operative case with fusion of cervical spine, severe pain, analgesics did not respond. Burning sensation in the whole body. In April, 2014, the patient came around midnight and complained of severe pain. His pain level was at VAS 10/10 radiculopathy and radiating pain upper right limb,consulted three neuro surgeon and lastly one referred it to me. Because it was certain arousal pain and analgesic or any sedative were not responding. My approach I saw patients arrived in midnight I understood it was trauma so high adrenaline were already induced by the brain in the process of releasing endorphins naturally. So immediately I used pc6 PC 7 ht7 and du20 and asked him take deep breaths further I applied st36.5 gb34.25 , St 41, and liv 5 and liv3 and left him in a sitting position , for ten mins ,his nausea reduced and than lu 11 with BL 60 and bl64 were bleeded. And now after 10 mins patients was able to talk , we made him walk and show his lower back had no strength wasting of muscles both upper and lower limbs , high frustration , high water deficiency with huge burning as if something was pericing his body with burning nail.

Most important was what to select and what not to do. So I decided, 77.2, 77.03,77.04, in the midline of the posterior aspect of lower leg (in the Achilles tendon), 3.5 cun from the heel. Midway between BL-60 & KID-3. Further added 22.01 , 22.02, 22.06 with Sl-3 and 22.08. A.04 was further added and his pain came down to at VAS-5 /10 but tingling and burning sensation was there in the whole body.
We further bleeded all jing well points and after few mins burning sensation was rated 3/10 now radiating pain, slightly perplexed situation, pain mostly radiating in all six channels, and in between channels wasting of deltoid and thenar muscle, any way, as per the bagua. Since patient arrived at midnight, I decided to first needle tender points of the spleen up to 9B , than stomach from 41 to 36 and in GB 41 to GB 34 also took some tender points between Gb and spleen channel.
Effort finally resulted and there was no pain, left the needle inserted for 90 mins two clock cycles. Patient arrived at 2am and left 4:30 am in the morning.
Accept my deep gratitude, finally Acupuncture was replaced for morphine tablets.
