With a lifelong focus on holistic health, Dr. Prachi Garodia has, for the last twenty-five years, been guiding her patients on a journey of healing integrating her internal medicine practice along with training in functional medicine, Ayurveda, acupuncture, mindfulness, meditation, Lifestyle medicine practices, detoxification, environmental medicine, stress management, yoga, and nutrition.

Dr. Garodia has taught and lectured nationwide and internationally at conferences on diet, lifestyle, natural management of diseases, and Ayurvedic principles and philosophy including a whole foods plant-based diet and how it benefits human health by managing hypertension, cardiac disease, cancer, arthritis, diabetes, autoimmune disorders, and several other chronic, reversible, and preventable diseases.

 

Acting on her passion for food and environmental causes, Dr. Garodia is an avid gardener and an ardent seed saver. In her spare time, when she’s not doctoring or growing her own food, she can be found peacefully practicing yoga and meditation, traveling, or spending time in nature, hiking with her husband, Murari. She is a foodie and finds joy in creating delicious and easy plant-based recipes for her friends and family.

Dr. Prachi Garodia is a practicing integrative medicine physician based in Southern Oregon. During the

last 25 years as a medical doctor, she has helped thousands of patients gain or regain their health. In addition to being board-certified in internal and integrative medicine, Dr. Garodia has trained in functional medicine, Ayurveda, medical and cosmetic acupuncture, various practices of mindfulness and meditation, Lifestyle medicine practices, nutrition, detoxification, environmental medicine, stress management, and yoga.

She earned her medical degree from Lady Harding Medical College in New Delhi, India, and completed her residency in internal medicine at the New York Hospital Medical Center of Queens in Flushing, New York.

 

Dr. Garodia has taught and lectured nationwide and internationally at conferences on diet, lifestyle, natural management of diseases, and Ayurvedic principles and philosophy including a whole foods plant-based diet and how it benefits human health by managing hypertension, cardiac disease, cancer, arthritis, diabetes, autoimmune disorders, and several other chronic, reversible, and preventable diseases.

She has educated medical communities worldwide via workshops and lectures on the ancient science of Ayurveda and yoga. Co-sponsored by The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center, Dr. Garodia, for two years, taught a continuing medical education course at Rice University in Houston, Texas, on the use of Ayurveda and integrative medicine bolstering health and preventing inflammation and cancer. In addition to publishing two research articles on these same topics, and Co-Authoring a Book chapter on Ayurveda, Dr. Garodia has also authored numerous other articles, papers, and blogs on healthy eating and living through Ayurvedic practices and cooking, yoga, and meditation. She’s facilitated community education and workshops on several health-related topics involving a whole foods plant-based lifestyle. She offers popular monthly community outreach programs in Southern Oregon educating people on diet and lifestyle: Healthy Heart--Healthy Weight, Your Gut and Immunity, Managing Arthritis and Pain, Anti-inflammatory Diet 101, Optimizing Health after Cancer, Managing your Diabetes Naturally.

 

Dr. Garodia believes in optimizing healing by gently guiding patients to treat all aspects of their holistic health: physical, mental, spiritual, emotional, environmental and social. She uses individualized food, herbs, spices and lifestyle recommendations to enhance overall vitality and health in her integrative practice. For her, food is medicine, and nutrition plays a prominent role in her medical practice.

 

She has been a vegetarian since birth, a vegan and gluten-free as of 2012. Acting on her passion for food and environmental causes, Dr. Garodia is an avid gardener and an ardent seed saver. In her spare time, when she’s not doctoring or growing her own food, she can be found peacefully practicing yoga and meditation, traveling, or spending time in nature, hiking with her Husband, Murari. She maintains a certified bee-friendly garden on her property where she loves to daydream by a creek and observe the busy world of insects and little beings. Since childhood, she has adopted several orphaned and lost bird and animal babies and nurtured them to health and freedom. In addition to the many wildlife causes Dr. Garodia supports, she has a passion for art, music, and dance as expressed through her landscape paintings, former voice training, and formal training in Indian Classical dancing.
