About me
I am Synovia J. Simons a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist! I earned a MS in Nutrition at Keiser University and B.S. in Nutrition and Dietetics from East Carolina University in Greenville, NC. Feel free to glance at my accomplishments and experiences in nutrition.
After graduating from high school, I enlisted and served in the United States Air Force for five of the most incredible years of my life. For instance, shortly after the birth of my daughter Sy'Vanna, I relocated to Japan and from there I traveled to South Korea, Kuwait, and Iraq. Additionally, I met some great people and learned about other cultures.
Afterward, I returned to college as a traditional full-time student in 2011 and graduated in 2012 with an Associate in Arts Degree. Later that year I began my journey at East Carolina University (ECU), majoring in Nutrition Science.
After graduating from ECU, I relocated to Tampa, Florida to work as a Nutrition Educator for the Florida Department of Health WIC program. There I gained experience and skills of counseling individuals and groups; however, I moved on from WIC to complete my Masters in Nutrition with Dietetic Internship. My graduate program gave me the opportunity to work for hands on while learning. I want to focus more on the aspects of public health by providing nutrition education and promoting wellness.
