I started doing my research and the real change came in April’18, my wife and I were on vacation and I found a You Tube video called “the two biggest lies of type 2 diabetes†by Dr. Jason Fung. I watched the video and then downloaded the audible version of his book “the diabetes codeâ€. That day I stopped all medications. I since started seeing a naturopath and keep my blood sugar readings around 110. (I would like it to be lower but try to be patient, I spent 50 years breaking my body the dramatic change in months should be good enough but I am a classic overachiever). I also have added intermittent fasting to my routine. My wife and I watched the documentary “the magic pill†and we have both completely changed our eating and have made it a way of life. My last blood tests showed almost perfect insulin numbers (3.1). (I do not know what they were when first diagnosed because the endo didn’t order that test, I mean why would anyone need to know the insulin numbers of a disease of hyperinsulinemia)? (Sarcasm added at no cost). My A1C was down to 5.8 and that is remarkable in that I still wasn’t 90 days from initial diagnosis. I am really looking forward to an A1C test in July, as that will be 90 days after I quit all my medicine. I am determined to beat this disease as a tribute to my Mom and an honor to my wife. My poor Mom did what the doctors told her and it killed her, slowly and painfully. My wife has been such a great support. We built an amazing life together and I want to honor that and help it last as long as possible.

My naturopath said, "Congratulations your no longer diabetic and you are no longer insulin resistant." By July next blood test I will be no longer prediabetic either. Folks I am living testimony type 2 diabetes is not a progressive and chronic condition. You (I) have a choice. I choose life without diabetes and all it's complications. My journey continues but this is my testimony thus far.
