With education, I followed a toxic gut diet.
There are foods like greasy fatty foods, nuts, and alcohol that are extra
dangerous for my gut health. So I avoid these now. And there are great foods that can actually
bring healing to your gut. I eat a lot of sweet potatoes, lean meats, and
salads for example. And my husband, who had GERD for years, found out he had a gastric gut. He now stays away from tomatoes, dairy, and bell peppers just to
name a few. He now eats foods that are healing for his gut including turkey,
spinach, and mango for example.
Supplements and Essential Oils
We also added the supplement Quercetin to our
daily routine. It works like a Band-Aid to seal your tight junctions back up
when taken with a gut-healthy diet. I personally added Milk Thistle and Ox Bile to support my liver.
As for essential oils, I added lemon and clove
to my daily routine. Lemon is frequently used in Ayurvedic
medicine and can detox the liver. And clove is a powerful antioxidant. So
these are just a couple of the essential oils that can detox the body. Â This article about Gut Health and Essential Oils is also helpful
and shows how oils help your gut.
There are many other supplements, like Bentonite Clay and
activated charcoal for example, that we
use on the occasion that works great too. Other ways to treat gut health that are
also quite effective are acupuncture and other natural therapies that I didn't
try.

Results
So you are probably wondering what the results
were for both of us after following these protocols. Â After 30 days, my acne had completely cleared up, which I
struggled with for 2 decades! My joints felt better. Plus I had more energy and
slept better.
My husband’s heartburn went away and it’s been
gone for almost one year since we finished the plan. So he’s sleeping better as
he’s not bothered with GERD every time he lays down. If you would like to read more about my
experience with healing leaky gut and improving my gut health, please click
