Motivation
Never before I ever cut down on my cravings. It was my mother who always motivated me for not giving up. Moreover, I could myself see the change happening after 3 weeks of sticking to the plan.Â
I’m motivated to follow the diet plan more or less in a similar fashion. But, it’s difficult. All I didn’t like during the therapy was oatmeal in my breakfast. I devised a recipe to make it interesting. Here it is. Boil oats in water with a pinch of salt, powdered elaichi seeds, a teaspoon of honey, some oregano and chilly flakes added to it. Simmer it till you get that awakening aroma. Garnish it with the goodness of nuts rich in omega-3 fatty acids. This is a yummy breakfast I love and yet acne friendly!
Encouraging Words
Believe it or not, after 2 months of following the regimen, I don’t anymore have frightening acne on my face except for few scars for which my doctor suggests laser treatment. This wasn’t possible even with all the antibiotics and face masks I tried. It was like a dream coming true. The diet for acne worked wonders for me. Eliminating high glycemic foods like simple carbohydrates can be awesome for your skin. I had to give up on many of my favorite food but it was only for my skin, the most favorite! I also lost 12 pounds weight as a bonus.Â
Excercise Description
I rarely walked or worked out before meeting my doctor. She recommended me for a brisk walk 15-20 minutes per day for 5 days in a week and meditation for few minutes several times in a day.Â
Treatment Description
I’m a foodie. I love chocolates, cheese and chinese. My social life is very active, I hang out with friends almost every other day in a snack bar. My typical breakfast included a glass of milk, 2 slices of bread with some butter or fruit jam. I had some spicy vegetable curry and wheat rotis or rice for lunch. I ate biryani or chinese noodles or some pizza for dinner. In between meals I had coffee several times, sometimes with a pastry. The doctor advised me to eliminate milk and milk products, red meat, sugars and fries completely. In addition, I had to consume a minimum of 3 litres of water per day and a complete no to alcohol, caffeine and cola. My typical diet plan was like this. Breakfast – A cup of green tea, a bowl of boiled oats with walnuts and flaxseeds and a glass of fresh fruit juice Lunch – 2-3 wheat breads or rotis, a bowl of vegetable curry cooked with olive oil or coconut oil and 2 servings of sprouts. Dinner – A bowl of clear soup, 2 servings of vegetable salad and a serving of pasta, fish or lean meat.Â
