I tell all of my patients that diet is very important as well to help Psoriasis. I would like to share the case study done to correlate Psoriasis with consumption of processed foods.
In a case study named Impact of red meat, processed meat and fibre intake on risk of late-onset chronic inflammatory diseases: a prospective cohort study on lifestyle factors using the Danish ‘Diet, Cancer and Health’ cohort (PROCID-DCH): protocol.1 conducted in 5, 7 053 persons have been demonstrated that people who consume high levels of red meat are predisposed to the development of chronic inflammatory diseases like psoriasis, inflammatory polyarthritis, and others. the study was conducted with a primary aim to investigate the impact of fiber, red meat and processed meat on various diseases. The overall results perspectives obtained from this cohort study will contribute to preventing the risk of developing such diseases by supporting future diet recommendations.
Outcome:Good
Various clinical trials have proven that dietary modification can help improve psoriatic conditions. Psoriasis patients who consumed Indian psoriasis diet, which includes vegetables, fruits, and high fiber diet have also reported that dietary changes can improve the overall health of an individual.
Summary:
The role of diet in the management of psoriasis is found to have a great impact on the overall health of the patient. Different dietary approaches can help people suffering from different subtypes of psoriasis. However, various research has shown that following a vegetarian diet like consuming fiber-rich foods, vegetables and cutting out meat, dairy products, gluten can provide symptomatic relief from psoriasis.
