HISTORY Would like to share this case (it’s a first for me, I have never seen such blackness in a leg). About six years ago, a friend asked me to treat his elder brother (in his 60s) who had limited mobility in his legs. When I saw him, his legs from below the knees and extending to the feet and toes were coal black. He was obviously in pain, not able to sleep well, and very limited mobility in his legs. He had very poor appetite and there’s no feeling in the legs, feet and toes.A detailed diagnosis (including the colour and condition of his tongue) showed that he had accumulated a plenty of cold and dampness in his body. His legs were swollen due to water retention. He was a civil engineer for many years and always on site, exposed to the hot weather. Upon returning home he would lie down on the cold floor and nap/sleep. Thus his body absorbed the cold and damp from the ground.
THERAPY:
I treated him 7 times, by the 3rd treatment, his appetite returned and sensation returned to his legs, feet and toes. By the 7th treatment the bloatedness due to water retention in his legs were gone and the blackness turned lighter, some redness can be seen in the toes.
He regained much of the mobility in his legs and he became more energetic and cheerful.
Later his wife confided to me that she thought he’s going to die as he had lost hope due to his condition.
My treatment is primarily getting rid of the cold and dampness in his body, strengthening the stomach, spleen and liver to resolve his digestive issues. The spleen and Triple Burner, especially, to promote transportation of fluids and transformation (food metabolism into qi).
Then target the legs, feet and toes to clear blockages and increase qi and blood circulation.
I would deeply appreciate any feedback by members who have treated such conditions.
