History:19 year old female with complaint of severe itching on scalp behind her ears. Her constant scratching was leading to burning and would aggravated irrespective of the season. She would perspire profusely and would have to bath in ice water to find any relief. Her sleep was disturbed due to constant itching and burning.THERMAL- Hot, cannot tolerate heat in any formAPPETITE – Normal but would get hungry after few hoursShe would sweat profusely all over her body and would feel irritated.Urine and Stool: Normal but passes after breakfastFood Desires: Prefers non-vegetarian food and aversion to sticky food itemsMenstruation Cycle: 13 years regular periods with dark red color and lower abdominal pain during menses, non- staining, odorless and would last for 4 days with white scanty discharge during ovulation period.Hair Fall with Dandruff and past history of Chicken Pox at age of 9 with history of typhoid at the age of 16 years.Family History: Healthy Mom with Maternal Grand Mother asthmatic, HypothyroidFather: HealthyMIND: Loquacious, Self-indulgent and extremely cautious of external beauty with normal memory and interest in shopping and dining. Hates pets with short temper and shows violence and anger. She hated her father and had spent most of er childhood with her grandmother.
THERAPY:
Sulphur 1M … Single Dose
Follow-up:
Reduction of discoloration from scalp, ears and upper limbs but increased in lower limbs as a herring’s law of cure. Normal sleep with itching still present. Normal appetite and bowel movement.
Improvement in anger control, started maintaining neatness.
I followed with placebo for 4 months, prescribed Sulphur 0/1 after 4 months for next 2 months and again followed with placebo. Her skin is completely normal without any scar formation within another 3 months.
Reason for Selection:
Extreme hot, craving for ice water even for bathing , more burning, appetite, all gone sensation, loquacious, self-praising, unkempt, collection of favorite things.
