She was prescribed a 21-day Ayurveda Treatment Therapy and instructed to stay in the clinic. Her therapy was based on research and clinical trials done on over 600 migraine patients over the years.
/ target=”_blank”>Ayurveda Treatment Therapy for Migraine:
Treatment protocol was developed the fact that there is an imbalance of acid-alkali in the body. The imbalance in the body is the primary that causes migraine headaches. Standardized Ayurveda formulation was designed that was based on a combination of five formulations:
(Narikel Lavan (NL)
Sootshekhar Rasa (SR)
Sitopaladi Churna (SC)
Rason Vati (RV)
Godanti Mishran (GM)
I have had the honor to be trained under my father Padma Shree Vaidya Balendu Prakash whose research I have shared with you. I share some of the common Ayurvedic formulations for treatment of Migraine and share evidence that has been collected for successful outcome as well.
Why Ayurvedic formulation is effective
Based on the inputs obtained from the ayurvedic practitioners, migraine is caused by the increased level in pitta which is nothing but an imbalance in the acid-alkaline level in the body. This condition could be effectively treated by ayurvedic formulations along with a regular diet which will help restore the imbalance.
Are there any science and research studies on Ayurvedic treatment for Migraine?
Vaidya Balendu Prakash, my mentor has been involved in migraine research for over 20 years and he wrote a scientific paper based on his years of hard work. Titled as Response to Ayurvedic therapy in the treatment of migraine without aura,1 scientific study that involved a total of 17 vaidyas from different parts of South India who reported effects and outcome by giving Ayurvedic formulation to 406 patients suffering from migraine between May 2005 and March 2007. According to the research, an Ayurvedic Treatment Protocol was developed AyT that included combination of five Ayurvedic formulations as listed below:
Narikela Lavan – Rock salt is filled in the whole coconut by making a hole on top of the coconut. It is then burnt in open space after covering the coconut with a cloth. After the burning process gets over, salt the burnt kernel is collected and sealed in a closed container.
