Outcome for Insomnia Treatment in Ayurveda:
Patient responded well within a few weeks of beginning treatment.
He gave up sleeping tablet and his digestive system also got better with
enhanced sense of wellbeing. A few months later, his sleep pattern was much
attuned naturally in quality and quantity compared to previous phase but it was
still less than ideal. In the meantime, he got cold and congestion problem that
was gradually getting better.
While
trying to fall asleep, he could not get rid of irrational thinking completely,
but that gradually became less as treatment proceeded. Patient was very happy
to report that the recent winter season did not affect his natural sleep, which
usually gave him nightmare every year. In February 2018, based on significant
recovery, he was advised to lower the medicine intake. Even with reduced dose
of medicine his problems did not recur. Having maintained a normal state of
health, he was advised to stop the treatment completely and during follow-up,
patient shared significant recovery even without any medicine.
