History:Acupuncture is very good method for treating lumbar pain different causes. I treated 26 year old man with hard lumboischialgia pain that persists for the last six months,because of protrusion of disc L5-S1, with paresthesia and low strength in left leg muscles.EMG of tibialis was also pathological with neurogene changes. He couldn’t walk smoothly because of pain and low strength in leg muscles. He was doing a lot of sport before the disease. He is medical technician who work with very sick children, so also his work was very difficult to do as before. He lost his power to work and study as before , so he was very sad because of that. His medical chief sad him that he must call me and ask me for treatments. After couple of weeks, he called me and we started to do acupuncture.
Therapy:
I decided to do method of balancing meridians and master Tung acupuncture.When I saw him, he was in very bad pain, he couldn’t walk correctly and his leg was in flexed position when walking. VAS was 8-9 and he also had paresthesia along the leg. Pain was shooting down lateroposterior between BL and GB meridian till the fifth finger on his foot. That was a very sharp pain, like somebody cut him with knife. He couldn’t bend himself with head down and when he did his work with little sick children he must rest time to time. That was very frustrating for him because he loves his work with all his heart.
FIRST TREATMENT:
After first treatment the pain and paresthesia gone for more than 80 percent. The next day I repeated the treatment and the pain gone to the zero. He can bent his body now with his hands to the floor and he feels only a little tension in his back. He walks normally and smoothly and he can do his work without pain and tension. He can even run . And that is very important for his work because he works also in emergency department in neonatological rooms.Now he is very happy, because he knows that acupuncture really works more than he hoped in his very dreams. Yes, Chinese medicine is really good and if you have a good doctor with a great knowledge, the acupuncture needles does miracles. And the most important is that the patient can put his drugs away. Yes, that is medicine without drugs. Acupuncture just stimulates our body to heal itself with its power. We are just the hand to deal with the needle, something like physiological surgeons. I love this medicine and I incorporate it to my everyday life and work.
