HISTORY:Sara *, a future mother who suffers from carpal tunnel syndromeTo Sara, she came to my office because for some weeks now I was suffering from various symptoms in my hand. The numbness in the fingers, the lack of strength, the shocks in the hand were logically uncomfortable. The symptoms worsened at night, all this problem was also accompanied by a slight pain in the shoulder. However, there is something good, the symptoms were recent.Carpal Tunnel Syndrome tends to worsen over time, making your treatment more complex over time …One of Sara’s concerns was, of course, the safety of treatment in relation to pregnancy. The use of acupuncture is both safe and advisable at different stages of pregnancy, as well as its positive intervention in many unpleasant symptoms that arise in this process, as well as being a technique that is non-toxic and does not endanger the baby.
Sara lay down on the couch in the most comfortable way possible. Before I started treatment, I asked if I was experiencing any of the symptoms that bothered her at that moment , but I was. Namely numbness in the fingers.
I then started treatment with the Yamamoto Craniopuncture technique. After inserting the needles again I asked the same question, but now the answer was negative, the numbness had practically disappeared. Before finishing the treatment I decided to add two more points that I consider important in this type of treatments. Two more appointments were scheduled that week.
In the second treatment, Sara was happy because, although she still had some symptoms, she was able to sleep better (which was not easy, such was the intensity of the symptoms). However, the pain in the shoulder had not changed. I returned to do the exact same treatment adding another point as support for shoulder pain. During this treatment we again see the instant efficacy of acupuncture, in which numbness concerns (symptom present at the time of treatment).
In the third and final treatment Sara was also happy, now the pain in the shoulder had disappeared and the symptoms of the hand was practically nonexistent. In just two treatments Sara had regained the well-being necessary to face this new great challenge of her life, to be mother.
