I needled the 5 head points, ESM, AM & YT, at least if I can calm her down it might rub off on me eh and at least I allow by brain chance to slow down and assimilate the information, allow the insight to arise? In Tasmania, it can get pretty windy and cold and the patient had been playing one or two games/day. I decided to do a Wood seasonal balance as a start.
Used magic 4 as a Global balance seasonal choice as it deals with frontal symptoms and also uses the two main meridians for regaining energy (KD/LI)
Right side
LI 4, 5, 11 #45 Gua + SI6.3
KD 2,3,4 #54 Gua
Left side
PC8,6,3 #45 Gua
HT3 > 3.5 x 5 + 7,5.
LU5 > 6 x 4 + LU7
ST43,42,41 #54 Gua
This gave me four limbs that where focused on the throat and head.
Right KD also address to some extent Left Achilles.
PC seasonal Gua covered from Hand to Elbow so should fix up frontal pain, especially with LI & ST to support.
Right thigh KD/LV & SP were also covered with KD/PC/ST seasonal balance.
Still had to address Shoulder (HT/SI) and UB back pain.
I added LU7 + 4 needles from LU5 to LU6 to treat bilateral UB pain
+ HT7,5 + 5 needles from HT3 to 3.5 to give a support to the LU via relaxing/treating GB tendinomuscular meridian, especially where it attaches into the sacrum, this also supports the thigh treatment as it balances all 3 leg yin (HT & LU combined), and also supports the shoulder using half image and mirror image.
To this I added SI6.3 to stimulate SI meridian in the Right arm and support the balance for the Left Achilles.
Left needles in for about 1:15
Excellent result. Throat and head were much clearer, back felt great when she got up.
