The 37 years old was under ARV medication. She had fever, stiff neck and could hardly move the neck side ways, severe headache, back pain, drowsy, confused and vomiting. Because of the vomiting i suspected epidemic meningitis.
Treatment
The patient was placed on a complete bed rest and nursed carefully.
While being put on a fast on juice, three oranges added to warm water started with 500ml and was increased after every two hours on day two. This helped to provide energy, increased urinary output and promoted body resistance against infection, thereby facilitated quick recovery. Aloe vera juice was taken twice a day half a cup in the morning and half a cup in the evening.
Other fruits included apple, grapes, pineapple for further four days.
A warm water enema was administered daily to cleanse the bowels during the treatment period because the patient had gone for a week without moving the bowels.
Cold compresses was also applied on the head.
On day three the patient was now moving the neck with no difficulties, headache relived, skin hydrated, fever gone, back pain relived, no vomiting, no more confusion.
