48-year-old male patient came to op. His main concerns were acute pain on right shoulder that radiates up to fingers with numbness on his fingers. Symptoms started suddenly with a mild neck and shoulder pain which gradually started radiating downwards. No physical deformity noted and no MRI was taken. He was working in a hotel as tea maker and his shoulder pain prevented him from doing his job. It was very difficult as he made meager income as a tea maker.
Considering it as a case of “abhabahuka” in Ayurveda. We started him with Ayurvedic internal medication that included: kashayam, tablets, internal ghee intake, nasal oil application and external oil application including Abhyangam. His symptoms showed remarkable improvement after 1 month of Ayurveda medication.
After 2 months of Ayurveda medication prescription, patient started his job again. We are continuing with external Ayurvedic oil application to make sure that his joints as well massaged to stop recurring pain in his shoulder.
