History:53 year old patient had been suffering from very painful muscle spasms and joint inflammation in his neck and shoulders for the past eleven years. After many appointments with an orthopedic surgeon, a physiatrist, a pain management expert, a massage therapist and a physical therapist, after X-rays, CT scans, bone scans, MRI’s, muscle relaxers, pain pills and anti-inflammatory drugs – he was finally encouraged by one physician to try acupuncture for relief.
