History:Pain in the Lower Back, Pain radiating from the Asis along the groin on the right side, , Radiating pain along the anterior aspect of the thigh on the right side for one month.Because of the intense pain he went to the emergency room where the doctors eliminated a urogenital problem. There was a young doctor who examined him and found that he had a inguinal hernia and He was sent to see a surgeon that told him that the hernia was small and it could be the cause of the pain. I palpated the Jue Yin channel around liv-3 and found nodules in the area and the whole channel was very tender on the right side. The left side was not tender and were no nodules felt. Because of the findings on the Jue Yin channel it Was diagnosed as Shan Qi. Shan Qi is related to the Jue Yin channel.
Case Management:
Case Study using points on the Hand Yang Ming channel That I taught in the
last seminar at Lisbon. In master Tung’s acupuncture We treat the Jue yin channel using the Hand Yang Ming channel. so I used 11.01, 11.02 that can treat shan Qi and 44-07 that can treat the groin on the opposite side of the pain. For the lower back pain and the radiating pain on the anterior aspect of the thigh I needled 33-11, also on the opposite side of the pain. I used 66.04 (near Liv-3) as my guiding needle on the same side of the pain. After two treatments the pain disappeared completely.
