Taco Salad with Turkey

Lean Turkey has fewer amounts of saturated fats as compared to other alternative meat like beef usually used in Taco Salad. Moreover, including greens in the recipe can increase the consumption of essential micronutrients like zinc, potassium, and magnesium, that help to sustain healthy heart.

High amounts of saturated fats, cholesterol and sodium can affect your heart. Lean Turkey has low levels of saturated fats as compared to ground beef, and hence, it is a better option than beef. Also, additives like low-fat tortilla chips and lots of vegetables can increase the benefits of this popular dish. If we compare 3 ounces of Turkey with Beef, Turkey contains only 2 grams of fat as opposed to Beef that has over 28 grams of fat. In addition, Turkey has substantial amount of Arginine that helps make Nitric Oxide in the body and in turn can help relax and open the arteries around the heart.
