Yoga helped me calm down for Postpartum Depression

I started attending prenatal classes at Yoga Secrets when I was about 12 weeks pregnant. I had a lot of anxiety and fear about labor and delivery, as well as feeling stressed about balancing pregnancy, work, and grad school. Elizabeth's class helped me to find a sense of peace and calm during this time; I walked away from each class feeling rejuvenated and present. I also was able to focus on my pregnancy and connect with my baby in a very special way during class. Most of all, I gained certain empowerment that allowed me to feel empowered and able to accomplish delivering my baby. I utilized so many tools from yoga including breathing, staying present and focus during labor.
I returned for the postpartum yoga series with my baby and had a great experience as well. It was a wonderful way to do something for myself to gently guide my body back into movement and learn to be mindful of the changes that occurred in my body during pregnancy as well as reconnect with my baby in a calm and peaceful environment! Basically, I love this place and cannot recommend Elizabeth as an instructor enough!
