About me
Kristina Carman
Hi guys I'm Kristina. I'm a registered naturopathic nutritional therapist and long time yoga and barre teacher. Tiny Fish Co is a wellness destination for approachable, sustainable and accessible advice and support when it comes to your vibrant health and movement.
I'm a passionate and fun yoga instructor with 20 years of self-practice and 12+ years teaching experience to guide students to their edge while remaining centred and self aware.
I came to yoga after a foot injury that ended a professional ballet career in Toronto. From there I moved to New York (my dad is American) to pursue other career paths. Yoga then became a way to heal, cope with life changes, stress and to keep the need for movement in everyday life. The practice evolved into taking Ashtanga Vinyasa teacher training in Singapore and then going on to qualify as a 500hr E-RYT + along with adding kids/teen, pre/post natal yoga for athletes and Ballet Barre to my qualifications.
Yoga is a constant learning and evolving practice for me and I am grateful everyday to my amazing teachers Paalu Ramasamy, Chong Wei Ling, Richard Freedman, Jason Crandell, Stewart Gilchrist and Erin Prichard.
My classes are a dynamic energetic vinyasa flow with a strong emphasis on remembering to breathe and to grow your body awareness and your self-reflection through flowing movement. Flowing and moving like a dance, you will build heat and then that will guide you to deepen and develop your practice through your breath while hopefully having a lot of fun.
Along with teaching yoga, food and nutrition is a huge passion. I'm always cooking, baking, juicing, fermenting, eating or feeding someone. I'm a registered nutritional therapist, completing my training with CNM in London and currently advancing my qualifications at The School of Health in Stroud studying to be a naturopathic doctor. I run a busy practice online and in my Buckinghamshire clinic. I strongly believe that access to health, nutrition and wellness should be available to all.
I love the connection between what you put into your body and then how that transcends into how you feel, how you look and how you move. Helping you live your best life, so important to me.
Food, movement, mindset all play such an important role in our wellness. I launched Tiny Fish Co when we moved back to the UK after living abroad for many years. First as activewear (I love fashion) with my best friend Erin (she now lives in California). Our activewear starting point is still at the heart and our foundation but Tiny Fish has now that grown into a wonderful wellness offering. Combining my immense love of yoga, fashion, health, vitality and yummy food.
