About me

I am a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist who practices in Washington, DC, Virginia and Maryland. I was born in Portland, OR, and it was there that I developed my love for nutrition, fitness and the outdoors. I received a B.S. in Nutrition and Food Science with a Minor in Spanish from Colorado State University and completed my dietetic internship and M.S. in Nutrition at East Carolina University.

I have worked as a consulting nutritionist and dietitian in the clinical, community, food service and corporate nutrition fields. I now live in Washington, DC where I currently work as a clinical dietitian in a Skilled Nursing Rehabilitation facility. I provide medical nutrition therapy and nutrition education as well as monitor the nutritional care of residents with a variety of diagnoses and conditions. I also work as a consulting dietitian and provide nutrition counseling and education to residents of the District of Columbia, Virginia and Maryland.

In my free time I enjoy spending time being active and outdoors: hiking, camping, participating in recreational sports, doing yoga and running. I enjoy cooking and testing new recipes (the simpler and quicker the better) as well as trying new restaurants in my neighborhood. I also enjoy traveling and reading about different countries and cultures.

I am extremely passionate about nutrition and wellness and love to share my passion and expertise with others. My main nutrition/wellness philosophy is that there is no one-size fits all plan. A person's diet and eating habits are individualized and there is a way to fit healthy eating and healthy habits into every lifestyle.
