The Northwest Institute of Ayurveda (NIA) was founded in 2006 in the city of Arcata, in Humboldt County, California, land of the majestic redwood trees. NIA offers both Ayurveda self-healing and professional Ayurveda training programs online and in-person in Arcata, Humboldt County, Northern California and online anywhere in the world.

Note About the Founder:
Traci Webb, AP, PKT, CMT, AYT-NAMA is the Founder and Program Director of the Northwest Institute of Ayurveda which is located in Arcata, Humboldt County, Northern California. Traci is the Institute's primary educator and curriculum designer. She offers a limited number of Ayurveda Sessions. Traci practices and teaches Ayurvedic Medicine, Ayurvedic Health and Life Coaching, Ayurvedic Yoga Therapy, Ayurvedic Aromatherapy, and Ayurvedic Massage and Panchakarma. She is a certified Ayurvedic Practitioner, SVAyurveda Pranavidushi Pulse & Marma Therapist, Ayurvedic Yoga Therapist-NAMA, Vedic Astrologer, Panchakarma Therapist, Aromatherapist, and California State Certified Massage Therapist.
Traci is an Ayurveda Activist with a Bachelor's degree in Psychology, who believes that RADIANT HEALTH COMES FROM A RADIANT LIFE! She believes that by optimizing all areas of our life and living in harmony with nature - health happens. This is why we combine the ancient wisdom sciences of Ayurveda and Yoga with the most cutting edge modern self-empowerment skills, psychology, and habit evolution.
Traci is currently pioneering the self-empowering future of healing known as Ayurveda Health & Life Coaching through her two Ayurveda Life MasteryTM training as well as her two Ayurveda Herbalist training. Traci trains her students to be the health leaders of the future, empowering them to heal themselves, and guide their families and their communities in doing the same. Together she and her students are co-creating a planetary shift in consciousness on the planet, demystifying healing, and putting the power of healing back into the hands of the individual.
Traci has studied and practiced yoga and Ayurveda since 1991. She has been in clinical practice since 1997 and has been teaching Ayurveda, ayurvedic massage, yoga, panchakarma (detox), ayurvedic aromatherapy, ayurvedic facials, and leading women's groups since 2000. She founded the Northwest Institute of Ayurveda in 2006 in Arcata, CA.
Traci is a 12+ year student of her beloved teacher Vaidya RK Mishra whose special SVAyurveda lineage knowledge she respectfully and joyfully passes on in all of her programs and training. She is also a 28-year student of her yoga teacher Soneji whom she began studying within 1991. Traci is also a long time student of Vedic astrology known as Jyotisha which she learns from Marc Boney starting in 2004. She is also a 20-year student of Shaktism and Sri Vidya Tantra, divine mother worship.
Traci is a past member of the Board of Directors for CAAM (California Association of Ayurvedic Medicine) and is currently a professional level certified Ayurvedic Practitioner through NAMA (National Ayurvedic Medical Association). She is also a certified Ayurveda Yoga Therapist through NAMA.
She is the author of several Ayurvedic textbooks including Ayurvedic Living, Ayurvedic Massage Manual, Aromatherapy Training Manual, and Ayurvedic Assessment Manual.
Traci has relocated from the hustle of Orange County to her favorite part of California - Humboldt County, where she lives her Ayurvedic lifestyle dream along the redwood coast with her husband.
