Dr. Bryan Rade, ND
Dr. Rade works with individuals wishing to correct a current health concern or work on general health promotion. His practice primarily focuses on complex chronic illness, persistent borreliosis and coinfections, mold illness, integrative oncology, the biomedical treatment of autism ("DAN- Doctor), PANS/PANDAS, neurological disorders, small intestine bacterial overgrowth (SIBO) and chronic pain. He combines his knowledge of both conventional and complementary medical theory to provide his patients with the most effective, research-based, and up-to-date care possible. In his practice, he strives to promote the concept of "Doctor as Teacher- and encourages everyone to take an active role in obtaining and maintaining their physical, mental, and emotional well being.
Dr. Rade is a graduate of the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine and also completed studies in the premedical and biological sciences at the University of Western Ontario. As a licensed naturopathic doctor, he is registered with the College of Naturopathic Physicians of British Columbia and the College of Naturopathic Doctors of Alberta, and holds membership with the Canadian Association of Naturopathic Doctors. He also holds membership with the Nova Scotia Association of Naturopathic Doctors and currently serves on the executive committee as President.
As a self-professed "Continuing Education Addict", Dr. Rade has pursued additional professional training in a number of fields, including: IV therapy, integrative cancer treatment (he is a member of the Oncology Association of Naturopathic Physicians), the biomedical treatment of autism (he is a "DAN" Doctor), ozone therapy, advanced pain treatment techniques (prolotherapy, prolozone, neural therapy, neural prolotherapy/perineural injection therapy, platelet-rich plasma therapy and trigger point therapy), integrative treatment of persistent borreliosis (a.k.a "chronic Lyme disease") and coinfections, Low Dose Immunotherapy, Low Dose Allergen Therapy, nd many others.
Dr. Rade lives in the Halifax area with his wife and children. Outside of work, he enjoys an active lifestyle including hiking, rock climbing, and a variety of other sports.
