A registered Naturopathic Doctor and health practitioner, Dr. Sara Ip, ND is licensed to practice naturopathic medicine in the province of Ontario and is a member in good standing with the College of Naturopaths of Ontario (CONO). She is a member of the Ontario Association of Naturopathic Doctors (OAND) and the Canadian Association of Naturopathic Doctors (CAND). Dr. Sara Ip was a board member of the Naturopathic Legacy Project, from 2017-2020, advocating for the sustainability and expansion of the knowledge from traditional medicine healing practices across North America and the world.
In 2016, Dr. Sara Ip, ND graduated from the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine (CCNM) in Toronto, Ontario. The Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine program is a 4-year post-graduate program, including a 1-year clinical internship with competency in the following:
Systems of medicine: Botanical Medicine, Asian Medicine, Clinical Medicine, Homeopathic Medicine, Naturopathic Philosophy, Spinal Manipulations, Massage/Hydrotherapy & Pharmacology.
Health management: Physical and Clinical Diagnosis, Public Health, Ethics and Jurisprudence, Principles in Research, Primary Care, Emergency Medicine, Radiology & Advanced Imaging.
Basic sciences: Biochemistry, Embryology, Immunology, Clinical Physiology, Anatomy & Microbiology.
General Family Health: Clinical Nutrition, Health Psychology, Pediatrics, Maternal & Newborn Care, Men's & Women's Health.
Dr. Sara Ip has completed the North American Board Naturopathic Examinations as well as the optional acupuncture and minor surgery examination categories.
In addition to her private clinical practice, Dr. Sara Ip, ND works as a naturopathic medical consultant in the areas of technology and artificial intelligence, bridging health and tech to create accessible health platforms for the public.
Dr. Sara Ip, ND completed her clinical internships at the Robert Schad Naturopathic Clinic, at the Sherbourne Health Centre & HIV Clinic and Queen West Community Health Centre in Toronto. She also completed a 1-yr clinical internship at the Brampton Civic Hospital in the hospital outpatient setting, providing health care to various communities across the Greater Toronto Area.
After graduating from CCNM, Dr. Sara Ip gained international naturopathic medical experience working at Central and Discovery Bay districts in Hong Kong. Her clinical exposure to various health conditions from asthma, frequent colds, bronchitis, sinusitis, allergies, parasites and chronic infections and the interplay of environmental exposures, shaped her interest toward the field of environmental toxicity. Dr. Sara Ip considers the environmental impact on human health. From contaminated water, heavy metals, molds and air pollutants, she understands that health extends beyond an eco-conscious view of our individual footprints to that of our communities and world at large.
