About me
Hi! I'm Dr. Laura Gouge, I am a board certified naturopathic physician currently practicing with Wolf Pack Consulting and Therapeutic Services in Beaverton, Oregon where I have a private practice and also serve as the medical director. I have a passion for working with anyone who has struggled in their health. My specialties are mental health, women's health, and chronic illnesses. My mission is to be an empowering part of your healthcare team, and to work together to create lasting and sustainable results in your health so you can enjoy life to the fullest!
I grew up in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. I graduated from the National University of Natural Medicine (NUNM) in 2015 with a Doctorate of Naturopathic Medicine. After graduation, I completed a competitive two-year family practice residency through NUNM with additional rotations in women's health. After residency, I completed an intensive six-month internship with Dr. Greg Nigh focusing on the complex health conditions including cancer and SIBO.
In my current position at Wolf Pack Consulting, I wear two hats. One hat is doing psychiatric assessments and talking about mental health medications, and the other is working as a naturopathic specialist. From working in a mental health clinic, I understand how frustrating it can be to navigate the medication options currently available. I utilize both conventional and holistic treatment modalities to create individualized treatment plans for each patient. My commitment is that every patient feels seen, heard, and understood. I practice trauma informed care and health at every size. My style is warm, creative, tenacious and direct.
I currently serve on the board of directors for the Psychiatric Association of Naturopathic physicians and teach as an adjunctive clinical professor at NUNM. I am also the host of the podcast "The Practice Sessions- which focuses on all aspects of being a naturopathic doctor. In my free time, I am a passionate hiker, guitar player, cook, and meditator, and I love spending time with my friends and partner in Portland, Oregon.
