About me
I'm Dr. Jessica Wu, a naturopathic doctor practicing in the natural landscape of the lower mainland.
I completed my Bachelor of Science Degree at the University of British Columbia. After many summers spent working in customer service on my family's certified organic blueberry farm, Formosa Nursery. Spending time with my family and our customers opened my heart to a natural cure and ignited a passion for me to study natural health and medicine. So, I endeavored into a 4-year doctorate program at the Boucher Institute of Naturopathic Medicine in New Westminster and broadened my horizons as a naturopathic physician.
I am an advocate for the principle of having your doctor as a teacher, being passionate about educating others, and becoming a resource for achieving optimal health. I also deeply value an authentic connection with my patients, in order to prepare individual and research-based treatment to address not only your main concerns but the whole person. Everyone holds their own unique journey and path in which I hope to understand, support, and medically advise along the way.
I seek to address any underlying causes of your symptoms in the physical, mental, emotional, and even spiritual realms. I am particularly fascinated with helping with digestive health and mental wellness as my studies have transformed my personal well-being. Naturopathic medicine has allowed me to combine my love for nature and health, allowing me to thrive and gain the privilege to work and share that possibility with others.
With a firm belief in the philosophy and therapeutic order of naturopathic medicine, I am determined to use my knowledge, skills, and tools to build and support your cornerstones for optimal health. My training has allowed me to combine the science and art of both Western and Eastern medicine in my assessment and treatment protocols. I believe that using the best of both aspects can bring about the true healing power of nature. It's an absolute joy for me to use alternative medicine to see those around me flourish.
