I found naturopathic medicine after my career in ballet led me down a path of disordered eating. By the time I left the ballet world I was experiencing severe bloating, amenorrhea, and was newly diagnosed with Hashimoto's - an autoimmune condition that attacks the thyroid.
Desperate for answers on how to heal both my mental and physical health, I enrolled at the University of Vermont where I earned my Bachelor of Science in Nutrition and Food Science.
During my undergraduate internships I quickly recognized a gap in our medical system. I was seeing far too many people suffering from chronic diseases, including diabetes and heart disease. These disease could have, and should have, been prevented with early intervention. When I learned about naturopathic medicine I saw an opportunity to fill this gap. I immediately fell in love with the philosophy of this medicine, and most importantly the power it has to not just treat disease, but prevent it.
I received my medical degree from the National University of Natural Medicine in Portland, OR. Following graduation I completed my residency in primary care, with a special focus in Women's Health and Pediatrics.
I currently work with patients virtually, and in-person for those local to Atlanta.
