About Dr. Yik IMG_4540 Dr. Ardyce Yik is a licensed Naturopathic Medicineic physician who helps people with all types of health conditions, with a clinical focus on women's and children's health. With over 10 years of experience, she is one of the first North American-licensed Naturopathic Medicineic physicians to start practising in Hong Kong. Before her relocation to Hong Kong, she was Clinic Director of a successful health clinic in Toronto, Canada. Fluent in both English and Cantonese, Dr. Yik is dedicated to helping her patient achieve and maintain optimal health and wellness. Dr. Yik received her Bachelor of Science degree with distinction in Human Biology from the University of Toronto. She later graduated from the Naturopathic Medicineic medical program at the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicineic Medicine. To keep her knowledge up to date, Dr. Yik regularly pursues Continuing Medical Education courses offered by Harvard Medical School. She has experience in hospital settings working with amputees and disabled children as well as children with special needs. Dr. Yik's kindness, compassion and strive for excellence began at a young age- she earned the distinct honour of being valedictorian of her graduating class at Zion Heights Jr. High School. She is currently licensed and registered with the College of Naturopathic Medicines of Ontario, the regulatory body for Naturopathic Medicineic medicine in Ontario, Canada. She is also a member of the Canadian Association of Naturopathic Medicineic Doctors. Using evidence-based natural medicines, Dr. Yik facilitates optimal health by supporting the body's ability to heal itself. Her goal is to address the cause of illness rather than to simply treat or suppress symptoms. Thorough medical history, physical examination, lab testing (routine blood tests, IgE/IgG food intolerance blood tests, hair mineral analysis, heavy metal toxicity tests, salivary hormone testing, etc.) and traditional Chinese medicine diagnostics are all used for assessment. Treatment often includes a combination of nutraceuticals, nutritional therapy, herbal medicine, traditional Chinese medicine and counselling. Besides maintaining a family practice, Dr. Yik offers her expertise through various print media (South China Morning Post, AsiaSpa, The Standard, etc.) as well as corporates/ institutions, including McKinsey & Co., Morgan Stanley, Nomura Group, Canadian Chamber of Commerce in Hong Kong and Hong Kong International School. She has also appeared as a Naturopathic Medicineic medical expert on Bloomberg Television.
