A Mom Owned and Operated Business We are moms with decades of parenting experience. Our founder, Jane Sheppard, started Healthy Child in 1997, shortly after becoming a mother. She learned about the toxic threats to her own child and how to reduce exposures. Jane became passionate about examining the research, thoroughly questioning the manufacturers, and sharing the information. She formed an advisory board of doctors and scientists, and the Healthy Child Newsletter was born. Most mattress, bedding and furniture products on the market are toxic and unsafe for babies and children. So we made it our mission to find healthy alternatives and make them available at Healthy Child. And we have the most effective air purifier to reduce the toxic air in homes.
