About Dr. Shiller Dr. Shiller earned his M.D. at Duke University's School of Medicine and went on to Harvard Medical School where he completed double residency training in Internal Medicine and Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation (comprehensive knowledge of diagnosis and treatment of the the brain, bones, muscles, nerves, joints, and soft tissues, with emphasis on improving function and quality of life). Since the 1990s, he has devoted extensive time to studying and practicing natural healing and stress-reducing, complementary approaches including balanced nutrition, hands-on healing, movement therapy and mind/body awareness. Dr. Shiller completed fellowship training in Integrative Medicine at University of Maryland Center for Complementary Medicine Research. He has completed over 15 years' study with leading osteopathic physicians, as well as ongoing training in Functional Medicine. He is board-certified in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation (Physiatry) and Holistic Integrative Medicine, and fully licensed in Israel, New York, and New Jersey. Dr. Shiller blends comprehensive medical science with the art of healing- to understand the root cause of his patients' troubles and to find the best solutions, through detailed, integrated knowledge of how a person's physical structure, metabolic system, and mental/emotional/spiritual system form an integrated whole in which each part influences and supports the others. He helps optimize recovery and healing with a range of therapies from traditional, modern and complementary medicine. He takes the time to truly connect with his patients and find the root cause of their pain, illness or disability. Then he uses the best means possible, in partnership with his patients, to bring them toward optimal healing so they can reclaim their lives.
