About Me

I am ABORM Certified and specialize in women’s health. I was born and raised in a suburb of Detroit, Michigan, Plymouth to be exact. Surrounded by nature where I developed a passion for natural sciences. Being the only child I learned to be sufficient and independent to a fault and developed a constant curiosity for how things worked and wanted a deeper meaning for life. Dancing ballet and jazz for 16 years kept me grounded and creative. Movement was my medicine for inner turmoil. When I was 19 I sought help for a health issue I had for years. Western Medicine proved to be a disappointment so I turned to kinesiology and nutrition which solved a gynecological problem that I'd had for years in a couple of cycles.

My Story

I went off to college and studied marine biology/chemistry and moved to San Diego in 1996 for graduate school. Upon my arrival I was promptly persuaded to pursue a different career. Through divine grace, over 4 months my eyes were opened to a new way of being and seeing and found myself enrolling at Pacific College of Oriental Medicine for my Masters. This ancient science has taken me on a very wild ride. Like all of us, my life has been full of ups and downs, broken hearts, addictions and miracles.

What I have learned the Acupuncture can bring us into harmony and alignment with our truest selves but we have to be willing to be authentic, honest and live in integrity. Acupuncture assists us in aligning with our center so we can be flexible, in harmony and better equip to adapt to stress and surrender when we are being asked to change by our inner compass. What I have learned the most is acupuncture can bring us into harmony and alignment with our truest selves but we have to be willing to be authentic, honest and live in integrity. We are our best or worst medicine based on the choices that we make on a daily basis. We empower ourselves with the food we eat, where we chose to live, who we have company with.  What attitudes and belief systems do we hold about ourselves and the world?  All these internal messages and information we take in from our societal and family culture affect our ability to enjoy vitality.
