Meera Chaturvedi is an Ayurvedic Practitioner.
She grew up in India where Ayurveda and Vedic knowledge were part of her family’s tradition. She has studied at The Ayurvedic Institute in New Mexico under world-renowned teacher Dr. Vasant Lad.
Meera was put on a path of healing after a traumatic car accident in 1972. Guided to Vipassana meditation on her own, she realized the energetic connection of thoughts and feelings to physical pain, and she taught herself how to direct these through breath, visualization and body sensation.
Her gift is to help others find their body’s own inner wisdom that will lead them on their unique individual path to healing.
Her schooling and work experience includes graduate work in Marriage and Family Therapy and an undergraduate degree in Psychology from U.C. Berkeley. She has worked as a spiritual counselor and mind-body therapist for local social service agencies and clinics. She is also certified as a Clinical Hypnotherapist, and as a Reiki Master.
She has studied many western psycho-spiritual traditions along with Shamanic work. Meera has taught classes in Ayurveda, Stress/Pain Management, Meditation, Self-healing and has led spiritual retreats.
