About me

Ann (Aneesha) Holaday BSc. Certified Ayurvedic Practitioner whose passion is to promote the amazing powers of Ayurveda and Yoga. She was born, brought up and educated in Britain and has lived in Washington, USA since 1981. She has three grownup children and two grandsons. Her lifetime career has been in Radiation Oncology where she was an educator, manager, and practitioner. She has authored the book "The Mountain Never Cries- and is a teacher of English as a second language. She has been married twice, widowed twice and since the death of her second husband in 2000, has traveled the world. She has lived in Puerto Rico, New Zealand, India, Britain, and Germany. Ayurveda found her when she visited India in 2006 and was captured by the timeless knowledge of life. She continued her studies under Dr. David Frawley of the Vedic Institute and Dr. Vasant Lad of the Ayurvedic Institute in the US and JIVA in Haryana and the Ayurveda College in Kerala, India.  She is a professional member of the National Ayurvedic Medical Association NAMA and Association of Ayurvedic Professionals of North America AAPNA. She has presented at international conferences in India, the AAPNA in Lucknow, Global Ayurveda Festival in Cochin, the 6th Annual Holistic Health Conference in Kottayam, World Ayurveda Congress in Delhi, three times at the International Conference on Holistic Medicine at MG University in Kottayam and at the William Research Centre and at the European Ayurveda Association in Germany. She is published in Holistic Healthcare Volume 1 and 2

She is the founder of According to Ayurveda and Yoga, an educational forum for the general public. She hosted an internet radio program on Voice America and has courses in Ayurveda. Ann Holaday is Certified in Permaculture Design.
