About me
I started my medical career as a practitioner of conventional medicine. Then I converted to Homeopathy about 3.5 decades ago. As a practitioner of Alternative medicines, I was open to learn any Alternative medical system and thus had studied Ayurveda, Unani medicine, Meditational healing but nothing could satisfy or convince me more than homeopathy.
It is about 2007 some colleagues told me they were learning Reflexology and I could join them. I didn't comply but by their continued instigation I joined them. After 6-weeks of training I was not much convinced but I started studying it from the internet. It seemed Acupressure was a better modality. I organized a study group and started learning Acupressure systematically.
After learning Acupressure, I got convinced that Acupuncture was the best modality of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). I decided to learn it institutionally but found no such institute in Bangladesh. I left my practice and went to India, got admitted into the best Acupuncture institute there and got qualified and certified.
Completed the 1st year of my Doctoral Program in Acupuncture in Shanghai University. It was a year of relentless study and training in Acupuncture and its related therapeutic modalities.
I attended and qualified in maximum number of courses consisting of Acupuncture, Moxibustion, Cupping, Tuina massage, Chinese Materia Medica and Herbal Medicine, Gigong exercise and meditation.
After vacation, my research project will begin in the Yueyang Integrated Chinese Medicine Hospital, affiliated to the Shanghai University of TCM. My research will be a Clinical Trial with Laser Acupuncture and Laser Moxibustion, supposed to be completed by June, 2020.
Our acupuncture practice at Bangladesh Centre for Acutherapy (BCA) is growing day by day. Acupuncture is the least known therapeutic system in BD, practiced by only few practitioners, where I am the last addition. But it seems at least in painful and paralytic disease conditions like PLID, cervical spondylosis, osteoarthritis knee, post CVA hemiplegia, Bell's palsy, migraine etc, the sufferers are increasingly seeking acupuncture treatment. In the beginning of my acupuncture practice, I used to search patients for acupuncture, now thanks God, patients are searching me out for taking acupuncture. Hope, golden days await acupuncture in Bangladesh.
Bangladesh Centre for Acutherapy, Dhaka is committed to disseminate the teachings and training of Acupuncture and its adjuvent therapy, Tuina Chinese Massage in Bangladesh.
It has already started Weekend courses on Acupuncture and Tuina Chinese Massage Therapy to practitioners of all systems of medicine. Participants are also very serious in learning and adapting the therapies in their own practice.
This will help grow their practice more and at the same time benefit many of their patients, especially who are suffering from painful disease conditions, paresis, paralysis and various musculoskeletal conditions.
