About me

Serena Clavenna Lac, DACM, attended the University of Western Ontario, in Canada, and graduated with an honors degree in health sciences. Serena is part of the inaugural doctoral program of East Asian Medicine from Pacific College of Oriental Medicine, in Chicago Illinois. Serena has accumulated 900 clinical hours of acupuncture, 32 hours with an internal medicine doctor, and 3502.5 class hours making her more than qualified to deliver safe, painless, high-quality treatment. Serena is qualified to prescribe patient-specific herbal formulas to assist with internal and external medical concerns. Herbal treatments are also an option for patients who do not wish to receive acupuncture. Furthermore, Serena is well skilled in cupping, tui na, electric stimulation, and gua sha which are noninvasive supplementary treatments. When Serena is not doing acupuncture, she enjoys going to art museums, studying the mythology of ancient Europe, and spending time with her tiny dog molly.
