About me

I have been inducted into the international research society, Sigma Xi, I have 8 academic publications in different medical journals, and given research presentations in the Texas Medical Center and International Conferences for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine. I have helped to build Integrative Medicine collaborations within the Texas Medical Center and the HOPE Clinic in Houston.

Lefeber intends to study various theories and models to build his own conceptual model of integrative health care that incorporates the best eastern and western medical practices to achieve optimal outcomes and satisfaction for patients and families.

My latest research paper co-authored with Dr. Hasen Xue,- A Case Study: Lower Gastro-Intestinal Bleeding due to Neoplasms- Complementary Treatment with Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine- will be presented at the World Federation of Acupuncture-Moxibustion Societies Integrative Medicine Conference here in Houston, Texas on the weekend of October 31st until November 2nd 2014. This will be the first major Acupuncture Integrative Medicine conference that will have a major medical institution, Texas Medicine Center, playing a part as well as the City of Houston being a co-Sponsor.http://wfas2014.acaom.edu/

On September 13th, 2014 I graduated from the American College of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (ACAOM) after 4 years of studying and completing my clinical Internship, with my Masters in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine. In addition, for 2 years Lefeber served as Student Body President. I will begin practicing Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine at ACAOM's Clinic in the Galleria area in the near future.
