About me

CAL WANSBROUGH

Hello, I am Cal. I am a highly experienced, 500 hour certified yoga teacher. I teach power vinyasa flow and more restorative yin yoga, and am qualified to teach pre and post natal yoga. I teach because quite simply I love yoga. I have learnt so much and got so much joy I want to spread the word. To this end, I also teach advanced anatomy and yin yoga training throughout London and the UK.

I came to yoga about 25 years ago, and became hooked by the magical ingredients of breath, flow and movement and the profound and lasting effects it has on both mind and body.

I completed my 200 hours teacher training with Hot Power Yoga in London and completed my 500 hours certification with Paul & Suzee Grilley, specialising in anatomy, yin yoga and meditation. As well as teaching private and public classes I deliver and teach anatomy and yin training in the UK, which are YAR registered.

Passionate and interested in body and mind I am also a qualified Yoga Life Coach, Reiki practitioner, and am a qualified and practicing Acupuncturist having graduated from the reputable College of Integrated Chinese Medicine, affiliated with Kingston University. I am also a casall clothing ambassador, their strapline is, appropriately.

I am a fully qualified acupuncturist, with a BSc Honours degree from the College of Integrated Chinese Medicine in Reading (affiliated with Kingston University). My practice integrates two styles of acupuncture - Five Element Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine. I am also an experienced, 500-hour advanced certified yoga teacher (registered with the Yoga Alliance), specialising in anatomy and yin yoga, a qualified Yoga Life Coach and a Reiki practitioner.

I am a long term advocate of complementary medicine and believe it can help a wide range of conditions as well as general health and well-being. For me, the mind/body/spirit connection is integral to our well-being and I find it fascinating how our emotions and thoughts can positively influence our health. I draw from the traditions of Acupuncture and Yoga and use a variety of techniques; needling, cupping, massage, guasha, moxa, movement and breath, to restore health, vitality and well-being.

I am a member of the British Acupuncture Council (BAcC) which sets very high standards for the treatment of patients.
