"The doctor of the future will give no medicine, but will instruct his patient in the care of the human frame, in diet and in the cause and prevention of disease." -Thomas Edison
Approaching health through natural medicine has been a long time coming! While conventional medicine certainly has a place, a functional approach is better suited for chronic conditions and getting to the root of the cause, not just masking it.
Natural medicine approaches healthcare more holistically by examining every factor involved including, symptoms, genes, environment, and lifestyle to address the underlying causes of disease, not just the symptoms.
There is an area of the conventional field beginning to embrace the tenets of natural medicine, it is known as Functional Medicine. According to the Institute for Functional Medicine, functional medicine was developed based on the understanding of “the importance of an individualized approach to disease causes based on the evolving research in nutritional science, genomics, and epigenetics.”
Individual-centered care is what sets natural medicine above all else. This integrative, holistic, science-based approach has been noted as the way to health for centuries.
Our goal is to share with you an in-depth look into what it means to approach health from a functional perspective, why it’s our preferred approach, and how it helps, which is why we invite you to attend our next webinar, Why Functional Medicine?, on Saturday, July 14th at 10:00 am CDT.
During this experience, we will discuss the difference between conventional vs functional medicine and which health challenges we effectively support.
We can’t wait to share the future of healthcare with you!
