Medical Condition:

Arthritis, Cervical Spondylosis

Type of Outcome:

Very Poor Poor Fair Good Very Good

Medical History:

48-year-old male patient came to out patient department in our clinic. His main concerns were acute pain on right shoulder, which radiates up to fingers with numbness on fingers.  Symptoms started suddenly with a mild neck and shoulder pain, which gradually started radiating downwards. No physical deformity noted and no MRI was taken. He was working in a hotel as tea maker and the problems prevented him from doing his job, which made the issue worse.

Case Management:

Considering it as a case of "abhabahuka" in Ayurveda started internal medication. Including kashayam, tablets, internal ghee intake, nasal oil application and external oil application and heating. The treatment exceeded my expectations and his symptoms improved after one month of medication.  After 2 months of Ayurveda medication, the patient started his job again.  We are continuing with Abhyanga, medicated oil application procedure with the patient for prevention.
