No Antibiotics and Positive Outcome from Ayurveda for Headache
Total years in practice: 15
A 15-year-old teenager with a history of recurrent cold and headache for the last 5 years came to Aastha Ayurveda Clinic for consultation. He had a cold, sore throat with mild and vague frontal headache. Previously an Ear Nose and Throat specialist had diagnosed it as Chronic Allergic Sinusitis. After a discussion with the Mom, the teenage boy had a history of frequent tonsillitis and fever until he was 8 years old. He has prescribed strong antibiotics and antiallergics and got relief. As a child with so many medications, he started getting recurring headaches and cold when he was 10 years old.
He was diagnosed as “Jeerna Pratishyay and Peenas Rog” as per Ayurveda diagnosis and was prescribed oral medicines along with Medicated Nasal Drops (Nasya Therapy which is a form of Panchkarma). He started responding after a period of 45 days and after a course of 6 months of oral medications and two rounds of Panchkarma, he had improved immunity. For the last 3 years, there are no exacerbations. Ayurveda for headache is very effective and offers long-lasting relief as is shared in this case.
