Case Management
Complaints: Chronic and infrequent migraine with nausea for
15 years especially in the left forehead and temple. Mild left
temporo-mandibular pain. Stiffness in lumbar.
Acupuncture: Left-side Yang horary points in Metal-Order of
LI1, UB66, GB41, SI5, and ST36.
Treatment process: The first treatment immediately lessened
all the pains. 6 treatments were enough to get rid of most of the intensity,
frequency, and duration. 3 months later, she had 3 acupuncture sessions for migraine
and vomiting during pregnancy. Again, the relief was dramatic.
Discussion: UB60 and UB67 are contraindicated during
pregnancy. However, when the points are correct for the constitution, they are safe
and helpful.
