History:35 yr old female came to our clinic with pain and swelling in her joints as she was suffering from Lumbar spondylosis and Cervical spondylosis for the last 5 years.She had started experiencing the symptoms since death of her newborn baby about 7 years ago. After that she went through a leucorrhoea phase which was treated by medication and after that she had a typhoid fever for 1 month which was treated initially by medication and then Ayurveda. After these incidents all rheumatic complaints started and become worse.
THERAPY:
The case was a haphazard as there were so many symptoms in every part of the body headache, cervical, lumbar, rheumatic joints, teeth and menstrual irregularities.
As she had been on heavy medication for last 5 years, I decided to prescribe Nux Vomica as antipsoric to clear her up from medication.
Prescription:
Nux Vom 200 one dose H.S
Sac Lac TDs for 7 days….
First Week Follow-up:
Slight relief in patients complaints
Observations:
She was chilly, thirstless, indented tongue, joint pain, irreru amel warm and continued motion scanty menses, teeth complaints, lumbar injuries and cervical spondylosis morning stiffness.
1st Prescription Feb’16
LAC.CAN 200 3 doses one by one on alternate days and Sac Lac TDs for 7 days.. Result was remarkable as soon as patient came back for her check up, she felt so much better. We repeated Sac Lac again in March/April and through August’16.
I adjusted the prescription to Lac Can 1m in month of September.
Patient was 80% relieved and in Nov’16, she had high fever. I prescribed her Rhus Tox 200 as second prescription to the patient every 2 hours until the fever subsided.
Since then, all her symptoms of joint pain have subsided.
