After the first phone consultation, she felt so much better, therapeutic really, that someone understood what she was going through and that weight loss did not have to be impossible, even with her thyroid condition. I designed and tailored a meal plan for her that included a whole food, high fat, and high protein diet.
No processed foods, dairy, added sugars, or gluten allowed! She was nervous because a lot of the “healthy” habits the media and popular knowledge had us believe are good for weight loss, are in fact not really all that helpful. Although this meal plan would definitely shake up her normal routine, she was determined to give this my all. Long story made short, in a few months, she had lost 30 pounds (and counting!), learned how to eat right, had more energy and sleep better at night. I felt like her old self again.
Additionally to the weight loss, her thyroid numbers had miraculously fallen back into a “normal” person’s range (which I think is possibly just as incredible), all based on diet alone.
