Ayurvedic Remedy for Lupus
In conventional modern system, there is no permanent solution
for autoimmune disorders. Doctors use corticosteroids, cytotoxic drugs etc to
suppress immunity and also bone marrow cells. (Actually these are necessary to
repair our body cells). In nature cure, we aim at the
cure, not the suppression of the symptoms. This we achieve by reducing the
inflammation without suppression of bone marrow cells and cytokines, or TNF
Alfa etc. Gradually, healing takes place permanently over a period of time.
How do we achieve this?
Over all inflammatory cytokines (TNF Alfa, beta),
hyperactive Gamma-immunoglobulins etc have to come down in patient’s serum
levels. This can be done through focus on detoxification and anti-inflammatory
treatment methods, plus a selected diet appropriate for the individual. We collect blood sample and check inflammatory
value for each food items in patient’s body. Accordingly, a diet program is
decided for the patient. This stops any gut-leak, if any. The body gets proper
nutrients and this helps in the healing process.
Our mind plays an important role in the condition
of our body. Every morning we conduct yoga and meditation sessions for the
patients. This helps in toning up of our nervous system, which is very
important for our physical health; and it also calms the mind. Pranayama is
also very helpful. For patients, who take corticosteroids,
Infliximab (Remicade--brand name), and Folitrax, azoran, MMF etc, medicines are
not stopped suddenly. Gradually, we withdraw and taper off the drugs. These
people are continuously monitored through some basic investigations CBP,CRP,
ESR, Liver and Kidney Functions tests.
After going away from the hospital, the patient has to
sincerely follow the instructions given at the time of discharge about the diet
and way of life, until the gene expression takes place, and automatically the
immune response slows down. It may take about 6-9 months for zero relapse. If, during this period, there is a flare up
again, its intensity will be less and duration of relapse will increases
gradually. We have achieved amazing
results with cases of SLE (systemic lupus erythematosus).
