Total years in practice: 20
Complaints: Hay fever with itchy eyes and which were not reduced with over-the-counter medication.
Acupuncture: Right-side Yin horary points LR1, HT8, SP3, LU8, and KD10. Saam four-needle technique for a constitution with Greater Yin and Lesser Yang combination (aka Pitta-Kapha in Ayurveda, Choleric in Unani, Taeeumin in Sasang, and GinLang in Tetrasoma). Liver sedation with LR2, HT8, LR5, and LU8. Spleen sedation with SP2, HT8, SP9, and KD10. Lung tonification with LU5, KD10, LU10, and HT8. Kidney tonification with KD7, LU8, KD2, and HT8.
Treatment process: He had 4 courses of treatment over an 8-year period. The patient’s initial treatment was for right arm, shoulder, and neck pain at level of 2-8/10. 6 treatments of Saam relieved most of the pain. 3 years later, he was treated for hay fever, which was mostly cleared with only 2 visits. 1 year later, his stomach flu with vomiting and diarrhea, although improving, were immediately better with Saam. One year later, his 1-month of persistent left forearm pain was mostly better with 4 treatments of Bisoma. 1 year later, he had plantar fasciitis. 2 Bisoma acupuncture treatments reduced most of the pain. It came back again 1 year later. 6 treatments of Bisoma again reduce most of the pain.
Discussion: Bisoma and Tetrasoma acupuncture are fantastic when the points align well with the patient for treatment of both external and internal diseases.
