HISTORY:38 years old lady came to our clinic as she was visiting her family in Portugal. She woke up in the morning with sudden sharp pain on the right side neck. She thought she will be fine and it will pass, so she ignored it.During lunch time, at a restaurant down the road (Yes, very important detail), the pain became sever and she could not move her neck anymore to the right side at all. She experienced severe sharp pain on a scale of 10/10. The pain was on the upper part of the Trapezius muscle and the Scalenes muscles.Diagnosis: Channels that were clearly involved were the Shao Yang of the hand and the Shao Yang of the leg.
THERAPY:
I started immediately with Master Tung 22.06 (Zhong Bai, and 22.07 (Xia Bai) Bilateral. I have asked the patient to move her neck after, and she was not limited anymore as she was. She could turn right at least but still under a lot of pain.
I added added Left side Gb41, which was very tender and I have added an Ashi point right next to it. Both needles were needled to a depth of 1.5-2 cun. On the right leg, I added Kid3 and Kid7. After that I asked the patient to move the neck, the limit was gone. the pain level reduced from 10/10 to 2/10 level.
