History:42 year old Asian male came for consultation of his kidney stones on Nov.’2017 at the Ayurveda College and Hospital with the following symptoms:1. Progressive pain in right flank since 5 days2. Burning micturition3. Dysuria4. PolyuriaWe didn’t notice and nausea/vomiting/fever/oedema etc were noted.After further check up he mentioned that he had h/o recurrent renal stone & lithotripsy was done 4 yrs. Back. He shared a recent USG report that showed renal stone in 11.5 mm at right side of vesicoureteric junction. He was advised surgery immediately by urologist. He had tried medication and still couldn’t get his kidney stone out.
Case Presentation:
We prescribed Ayurvedic medication as per the details listed below.
1. Just before meal(Apankal)
Ajamodadi choorna – 6 gms.
Sarjika kshar – 1 gm.
Muktashukti bhasma – 250 mgs.
Giloyasattva – 500 mgs.
TDS with Goghrita 20 ml.
2. After meal-
Kanyalohadi vati – 2 pills
Chitrakadi vati – 4 pills
BD with warm water
3. At night-
Tab. Haritaki- 6 (Approx. 3 gms.)
HS with hot milk
4. Empty stomach-
Tab. Stonakshar- 3 TDS (Prescribed)
On 29th November 2017, the patient returned symptom free happily in OPD with expelled out stone in hand. Patient was managed as per ‘Udavart’ line of treatment instructed by Acharya Charak.
